Barbara Montgomery is an expressionist painter creating at the Redux Studios in Charleston, South Carolina.  Born with an adventurous heart, she has always communicated her free spirit through the creative process of painting. She earned her BFA from the College of Charleston in 2015 where her passion for painting flourished into a career. Along with her artistic endeavors, Barbara is also the Art Director of The Vendue Art Hotel in downtown Charleston. Her artistic growth is a response to the energies produced from adventuring into the natural beauties of this world. She strives to create a lifestyle surrounding her work, carrying that essence of untamed adventure. Barbara's most recent series, Calming Water, is a therapeutic response from the ever-changing fast-paced life we live in.
 
Barbara draws inspiration through her ever-growing passion for adventuring.  She paints moments from wilderness adventures spanning from kayaking expeditions along the southeastern coast all the way to backpacking adventures through the Grand Canyon. Throughout her body of work, she strives to create a prolonged moment of tranquility within the landscape.
